The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
